Full catering facilities are available at the Village Hall, with the school PTA preparing hot and cold food throughout the day. The kettle is always on!
Where possible we purchase locally including:
- D.W. Wall and Son, Craven Arms. One of South Shropshire’s best known, award winning butchers supply all sausages, bacon and ham for the event.
- Mr. Bun The Baker, Church Stretton. Supply all freshly baked bread for the event.
- Mawley Milk, Cleobury Mortimer. Local family run dairy farm that supply all the milk for the event.
All cakes are homemade by parents at the school, neighbours and supporters of the event.
The event also purchase items through the Smithy Shop, A volunteer run, community shop in the village.
Despite the event being sponsored by The Wood Brewery Wistanstow, we do not sell their beer at the hall. For that treat The Plough Inn Wistanstow, home to The Wood Brewery, is open all day and welcomes you to sample a pint of Twisted Grip, brewed specially for the event!
